Anledningen till att just den här strippen är på engelska är att den vid publicering deltog i The Munchkin Webcomic Contest. Det var en tävling, sponsrad av Steve Jackson Games, där man skulle göra reklam för spelet Munchkin i sin webcomic och kunde vinna olika summor pengar.
Munchkin är ett kortspel som parodiserar rollspelsklichéer och skryter med att ha tagit bort allt tråkigt från rollspel (som själva rollspelande och annat trams) utan nu bara handlar om det viktiga; att slå ihjäl monster och ta deras saker. Ordet ‘munchkin’ är ett engelskt uttryck som syftar till rollspelare som, oftast på ett omoget sätt, enbart spelar för att vinna.

Normally this webcomic is published in Swedish (with plans to translate it in the future). But since I wanted to enter the Munchkin Webcomic contest I saw no other way than to write the entry in English (or hope that the judges really liked the pictures).
For those unfamiliar with Munchkin; It’s a comical card game parodying the concept of winning in roleplaying games. You backstab your friends, collect treasures and sometimes wear a duck on your head.
For those unfamiliar with this webcomic, it’s called Nice Scenarios (or Trevliga Scenarion in the original language). It’s a gaming comic, updated weekly, and a pet project of mine between tanking classes in library science and changing diapers.*
